Over the years I’ve been very lucky to attend events, seminars, conferences around the world, harm reduction cafés, or even just the times a small handful of us meet up in a friend’s apartment for a meal. All these times I can be found behind a camera.
Coming Together
What these have in common is the coming together of a community, people who may have worked all year in relative isolation are suddenly surounded by peers and people whose work they’ve admired from afar.
Capturing these moments of connection is, for what it’s worth, my contribution to the community. I no longer work in a needle programme or distribute naloxone for a project, but I can document the movement as I see it.
